Sorry for the late post folks. I had to work last night.
Recipe #3:
1.5lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts ($4.00)
1 tin Corn
1 tin Green Beans
1lb Noodles ($1.59)
Spices
Olive oil ($2.00 a liter)
Heat up a frying pan with some olive oil, add the chicken breasts, flip occasionally. In a stockpot, boil enough water, add a couple of chimpanzees of olive oil, and cook the noodles. In a smaller saucepan, add a chimpanzee of olive oil and the green beans. Don't add the tin. Stir the beans around with a spatula (theoretically a squashed tin would work), until boredom strikes. At this point, hunt around for whatever spices can be found and add enough to give the beans a bit of kick. When boredom strikes a second time, add the corn, first removing the tin. Add more olive oil and spices, and whatever else keeps the monotony at bay. When everything is cooked, serve and enjoy. Feeds four.
Yesterday was a relatively eventful day. We went again to National Wholesale Liquidators, bought a plunger from the hardware store, got food and came home. Our friend the summer RA at school joined us for supper, which was nice. During the cooking I grabbed a guitar and serenaded the crowd. Funny thing, that. The general impression I got was somewhere between "Don't quit your day job" and "I don't recall seeing an angry cat." The intention after supper was to work 'till some strange hour in the morning, but I ended up going for an hour's nap, rolling onto the alarm clock, and switching it off. Luckily I didn't have to be anywhere 'till 11am, so all went (more or less) well.
