Today was our first real day in the house. Supper was leftovers.
Recipe #1:
1/2 Recipe #0
1 tin peaches ($1.50)
1lb noodles ($1.59)
Boil enough water in a stockpot to cook the noodles. Cook the noodles. Open a tin of peaches. Pour the peaches in a bowl. Warm up last night's leftovers. Serve.
While one roommate and I were out, the other roommate cooked us a lovely supper. The goo turned out to be better over noodles than as the soup we had yesterday. The one roommate and I were at National Wholesale Liquidators, a store kin to Walmart, but lower class and with better prices. It's great for cheap things, and right off the RI Ave. metro stop. I got a nice shirt, six pair of socks, a packet of incense, bubbles, and a nail care set for around $17. Not so bad, really. I had to wash the shirt because it smells like a dollar store, and in doing so found out that our washer shakes the whole house on the spin cycle. Happy mother's day Mom.
